Therapy with Amadeo – passive, assisted, and active exercises
After attaching the device to the patient’s fingers and thumb, the therapist selects a customizable therapy program. Once the device is perfectly adjusted to the patient’s hand, automated movement sequences are performed. Depending on the level of impairment, the patient can exercise passively, with assistance from the device, or actively, based on individually set ability parameters. EMG-stimulated exercises also allow for active training even without voluntary muscle strength.
Assessment
Through biofeedback, the patient can follow the movement sequences both audibly and visually. Built-in sensors allow for quantitative documentation and assessment of finger force and range of motion. Therapy progress becomes measurable and visible to the patient—greatly increasing motivation
